Laura Monnier has over 13 years of experience in various law firms, including 9 years of experience as Head of Legal Affairs at Greenpeace France.
The creation of her own law firm in June 2024 stems from a desire to diversify her client base on selected environmental issues, and devote herself to the criminal defence of legal entities and individuals.
SKILLS
Laura Monnier specialises in Criminal Law. She holds multiple Master’s degrees in Criminal Law, European and International Criminal Law, and a University Diploma in Criminal Sciences, including Juvenile Criminal Law, Business Criminal Law and Enforcement of Sentences.
Throughout her professional career, she has developed in-depth expertise in environmental protection, and has gained a reputation for her knowledge of specific industrial sectors and issues related to the supply chain of raw materials and commodity derivatives.
She assists her clients both in an advisory capacity and before the courts, and can work in French and English.

Administrative, criminal and European law related to the supply chain of agricultural raw materials and timber products to the European market:
→ First criminal convictions of importing companies for non-compliant due diligence systems (importation of timber products from Brazil).
→ Litigation about the extraterritorial scope of impact assessments (importation of palm oil products from Indonesia).
→ Disputes relating to the access to information about companies’ supply chain
Administrative litigation involving public actors on climate inaction (ruling recognizing the State’s fault in “l’Affaire du Siècle” (‘the Case of the Century’), air pollution, illegal gold mining (French Guiana) and oil drilling (Brazil and French Guiana).
Civil and criminal liability for misleading commercial practices (advertising trade association, summons and complaints) regarding the sustainability of the supply chain, manufacturing of consumer goods and energy production (fossil fuels, agrofuels, nuclear)
White-Collar Crime : publication of misleading information about fossil fuel emissions and provisions in the nuclear sector. Litigation and advice about offences of probity (corruption) in West and North Africa.
